the thing is that I do not have a slow connection. When I am on wifi the speed is really good at home and also at work. The only problem I have is that my iPhone 6 is loosing connectivity to wifi randomly.
I will contact Apple support directly and ask if I should send in my device or better wait for an iOS update.
Will let you know when I have more information.

Yeah, the problem same like you, the wifi sometimes fast sometimes lose..
im already contact the apple support, and they said the problem from iOS 8.0.2 hehehe..
So we must wait 8.0.3, hopefully the new iOS will solved this problem

it is not an Australian problem! Same problem here in Germany!!
For me the temporary solution is also changing DNS-Server to (for example) 8.8.8.8
After that the phone works fine - no slow connection or broken wifi!
But again: Apple has to fix this issue - soon!

All the fix just temporary, it doesn't fix the whole problem.
Apple needs to fix this annoying thing.

Did you get a chance to contact Apple and ask regarding the Wi-Fi cutting out.
The DNS 8.8.8.8 option seemed to fix the Wi-Fi losing activity on my iPhone 6 Plus (UK) but as you said it didn't resolve the Wi-Fi just dropping out fully. Even with the new DNS setting on my phone's connections ( not from the router) the Wi-Fi dropped out fully and would not find anything when searching unless I restarted the phone. This is a big issue and very annoying. Does anyone think the Wi-Fi cutting out and not being able to find networks is a hardware issue or still related to 8.0.2?
Has anyone found a temporary fix for the Wi-Fi completely cutting out?
Just to note when the Wi-Fi does work I have never had slow speeds. Its always blazing fast.
Any comments / suggestions would be appreciated.

Sep 30, 2014 3:39 AM in response to as41by ottisb,I spoke to Apple regarding the wifi issue, at first they tried to blame the issue on my wifi connection until I advised him I am a technical engineer and if my wifi was at fault why is all the wifi connections working fine except for my Iphone and Ipad Air, i'm expecting a call-back today for a resolution or I will visit the Apple Store as a very angry customer demanding a refund, Ipad Air is useless now it's definitely a software (8.0.2) fault Apple doesn't want people to believe that though even though there's clear evidence, My Ipad Air was perfect until I updated to 8.0 and 8.0.1 and 8.0.2 also experiencing slow speeds using wireless when i've got a 50mb broadband connection which works perfect on my Macbook Pro which is also Apple.

I've tried both the 2.4 GHz range or a 5 GHz frequencies and the basics as in changing the channel the speed is actually slower using the 8.0.2 compared to 7.1.2. Not going to go too technical because some wouldn't understand, Also tried other h/sets which work fine except for my Idevices on 8.0.2 so Apple need to fix this bug because it's causing allot of problems for everyone you only need to read the forums on here apple fave F**ked up.

I should not have to keep resetting the network settings to re-connect every day. People expect more from an expensive piece of equipment.

I guess the internet connection are slowing down when my phone moved from one router to another. i had resetting the network both on my phone and my router, and even turn of wifi location services from my phone, still doesn't solve the problem.
Apple said that there is no way back to iOS 7.1.2 and we need to wait?? i think this is the stupid iOS launching ...

Cuts in and out every minute or 2 and sometimes completely forgets the network so I have to put in the password again. Then this morning it won't pick up any networks all together, but I was able to connect after reseting network settings. Apple... I'm afraid this would be the last iphone I'm going to own. I refused to believe that apple died with steve jobs but it has become clearer than ever.

Well my new 6 plus never had problems even in 8.0 so I am curious is yours a 64 or 128? Mine is 128 and a little poll I have done seems to show the issues stronger in 64 GB and 16's vs the 128's (there are some with 128 and issue mind you).
I have left it in 8.0 though and not tried 8.0.2 yet. Test at work with high speed fiber I am getting speeds of 60 Mbps down and 30 Mbps up, and home with my regular comcast I am getting 28 Mbps down and 6 Mbps up like I do on my macbook with the airport and comcast regular cable modem.Two people in my office with regular 6's no problems either, and the also updated to 8.0.2 and still no problems. I am not sure what to conclude but it seems some 6's, some iPads and some 5s iphones do have problems with 8.0.x and others do not. My IPad air is also fine and I put 8.0.2 on to test it. Dang just ran here at office I am getting 143 Mbps down and 33.38 Mbps up. Usually we get 60-75 down and 25 up maybe on good days 100 down and 30 up. I wonder if for me the 8.0.2 on my iPad air (128 GB model) is actually improving things? But i am willing to risk it and reinstall but I need my phone so I am wary of experimenting with 8.0.2 yet on it even though my two office mates having no problem. This is hard to figure
Ran phone few more times getting about half down (60 Mbps) compared to consistent 140 Mbps down on iPad air, and equivalent up (27 Mbps compared to 30 on iPad air with the 8.0.2. Interesting experiment. Wish I had done it with 8 and 7 on my iPad air.
