Sep 30, 2014 1:19 PM in response to crazyarmoby ottisb,That was what they told me when I spoke to them yesterday and today, apparently they are telling everyone this because they have been told to say that as I was talking to a apple sales rep who I know.
Apple are fully aware of the issue because it's all over the forum, When I also spoke to the apple advisor he tried to blame it on the broadband frequency not knowing I had more technical knowledge then he did when I started talking about signal waves then he said he wasn't aware of the wifi issue then I said to him why is it i've spoken to 5 of your reps they are saying the same thing, he still insisted I was the first guy to speak to them regarding the 8.0 firmware issue and everyone else is happy, I've got the conversation recorded so we will see how clever they are when I put the conversation on youtube and social websites live, I don't appreciate been lied to, not happy at all. Going to have another online chat to them let's see if there saying there not aware keep u guys updated

Sep 30, 2014 1:46 PM in response to Jeep4Lifeby Johnnie_D,Yep, I have the iPhone 6 and have been having this problem as well...not to mention, it is a chronic, ongoing problem. I have tried all of the attempts at remedies in these forums but have been unsucessful. That said, I (we) should not be expected to remedy this. Apple needs to get going on this now. This is truly ridiculous.

Sep 30, 2014 1:50 PM in response to crazyarmoby Charlie10250,I Have been speaking to them all week regarding this issue. Tonight I finally got a Supervisor who told me the problem cannot be resolved and suggested a new IPad in exchange for this one. I took it back to the store tonight and exchanged it for a new one. I am keeping it on IOS 7 till this is resolved. Apple are clearly in denial about this. Needs media attention.

Sep 30, 2014 2:23 PM in response to Jeep4Lifeby niluvu2,This has work for me, wifi is still working great after 2 days.
1. Download the 8.0.2 ipsw file (http://www.ipswdownloader.com/, don't use safari use firefox)
2. Get the phone into DFU mode3. Use iTunes to restore the firmware using the ipsw downloaded
I would set it up as a new phone instead of restore from backup just to be sure.
Before this, wifi would stop working randomly (usually after I wake the phone) and it couldn't see any wifi networks at all until I restart the phone. Reset network settings sometimes worked but it would come back another time. Same thing for Erase All Content and Settings.

Sep 30, 2014 3:33 PM in response to niluvu2by ottisb,I've done all that still have the issue with wifi and intermittancy on the internet, some devices are not effected but some are, I've dont a factory reset without restoring it back, It's ever since i've moved from 7.1.2 to 8.0.2 I've never had this issue before, tried recoverymode, dfu mode whilst downloading stock firmware from iclarified changed wifi channels and also frequency it's been a huge headache, I really feel sorry for those who are not technical minded because they will be doomed.

Sep 30, 2014 5:21 PM in response to Jeep4Lifeby cgwalsh5,Has anyone figured out if the connectivity problem is the iphone 6 phone or the 8.0.2 software. It is very frustrating. My "new" iphone 6 continues to search (burning battery) for the multiple wifi hubs and router in my house. I have 7 iphones, 3 computers and its is only my iphone 6 that cant find the Wifi. Its driving up my cell data usage. Does anyone have a real answer? the phone or the software. Also if i turn off my ATT cellular connection the bars at the top actual still say i have a connection. the phone is not connected and the cellular is off, but it has "dots" and the ATT in the upper left.

Sep 30, 2014 5:46 PM in response to Jeep4Lifeby buzhidao,Tried to chat with an iPhone support.. 2 chat sessions, both were directed to a senior advisor.
My issue is 5s sometimes as there is no internet connection. Most noticeable is when browsing using safari
The first person sent me a diagnostic app via email and the result was my phone was out of memory. Told me to wipe the phone & set as new phone.
This didn't resolve the issue
The second person couldnt find anything wrong from the diagnostic result
Both never heard of this issue
A temporary solution from online forum is that to turn off the cellular data while using wifi. This has worked for me. Or.. use other browser instead of safari

Sep 30, 2014 5:47 PM in response to Jeep4Lifeby getstu,Hello, This kind of worked for Me:
Settings/General/Reset/Reset All Settings
(except now if WiFi starts to slow down I just restart the ipad and Wifi becomes fully functional again). You'll have to enter Passwords again but it solved My Safari and Various other App Loading and Functioning Issues. Best, Stu

From what I am reading it is more than just the iphone 6, some 5's are affected as are some iPads, (mainly ipad air??? have not compiled) Makes me think is an issue of the routers some have and settings being out of sink with the newer WIFI chips in ipad airs and 6's particularly as some mention, but not absoulutely. So it appears to lean a bit more towards what the 8.0.x iOS does with the variables of peoples WIFI routers they have setup.
I have had no issue with my iphone 6 or iPad air with 8.0.2 in fact it improved my speeds somewhat as I tested it totay and updated my phone (had been using on my iPad air longer).
Here is home WIFI example I got tonight with my iPhone:

Sep 30, 2014 6:05 PM in response to jgold253by dino_russ,For some maybe but I am not sure how many are having issues. A number around here including me have them and no problems whatsoever. They work well and even better with the 8.0.2 update. I am not saying that is your experience but I am not sure how many are having the issues but obviously enough are.

Sep 30, 2014 6:24 PM in response to Jeep4Lifeby mikefromfort wayne,If you reset network settings (Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Setting), it partially resolves all WiFi connectivity / speed problems. And by partially, what I am finding happens is that immediately after resetting, your WiFi is at lightning speed. But ultimately, it slows down as if iOS is throttling back the speed due to an internal reason. After installing iOS 8 on my 5S and receipt of my iPhone 6, I discovered my WiFi speed was significantly slower than LTE: well under 1 MBpS download and 1-4 upload. After I reset my network settings, I was at 20.5 download and 6.6 up. Now I just measure it and I am at 2.7 down and 7.3 up. But if I were to do another network reset, my speed would increase. I'm on Verizon ....
And by the way, reseting network settings only kills your stored password for any WiFi you automatically join. That's all ...
