Sep 27, 2014 9:21 AM in response to Kepoiby mvision7m,Yeah. On our honeymoon last week and thought we'd treat ourselves to new phones as we were both due but didn't expect these issues. So far, disappointed.

Sep 27, 2014 9:24 AM in response to Jeep4Lifeby kwaichangdave,My Iphone 5 with IOS 8.0.2 is now unable to connect to my home network. Apple needs to pull IOS 8 and have an option to restore IOS 7. This IOS 8 software does not need bug fixes it needs to go back to the drawing board. This software was obviously not tested enough to release to the public. The entire team of software engineers responsible for this need to be reprimanded and the Management that allowed this release need to go.

Sep 27, 2014 10:26 AM in response to Yikaby rphunte42,I have found it useful when that happens to tell the phone to forget that connection, and try again to set it up.

Sep 27, 2014 10:36 AM in response to Jeep4Lifeby tigerbones,I'm having the same issue. I don't see how it can be software as some people I know with the iphone 6 report no problems at all. I've tried all the suggested fixes and nothing works. Multiple routers, reinstalling firmware, etc. I can sit my phone down with other iphone 6's and 5's and watch them pull up the network while mine just spins until nothing is found. Even manually entering things is hit or miss. The only thing left is faulty hardware. I have to wait until next week for my appointment at the Apple Store to find out for sure.

Sep 27, 2014 10:39 AM in response to Jeep4Lifeby obhutta,Same issue with me but unfortunately apple doesn't check these boards, and why they don't blows my mind they have to have some sort of way besides calling and waiting for hours just to tell a customer service rep about our issues! The iPhone 6 has to be the most butchered iPhone release in apples history! From ios glitches to iPhone 6 Plus bending ... I really hope apple works on these issues and I listed a few other problems im having with my iPhone 6 plus let me know if any of you guys are having the same:
- When text notifications come and you swipe up to ignore the phone freezes and sometimes enters the text rather than ignore
- copy and paste is horrible it , freezes all the time when using it on safari and doesn't work on safari 90% of the time, also it carries the "blue color font and underline" when you copy and paste a URL" ( it literally changes the color of the font from black to blue )
- the "delivered" on the iMessage is always cut off by the keyboard and you have to swipe the message up to see it was delivered
- the phone gets stuck on landscape mode almost 70% of the time and wont rotate no matter what you do even if you close and re-open the screen by pressing the power button (restarting the phone is the only solution) - i have to lock my screen on portrait mode so it stops turning which defeats the purpose since i bought a 6 plus for a reason!
- when in landscape mode and your texting the keyboard wont type ANYTHING , this happens 60% of the time
- usually when you type the letter "i" it capitalizes by itself but i guess they turned that feature off or its just another glitch and yes this was working with iOS7 when i can auto-correct off so that's not the issue
- cell phone signal is HORRIBLE and i have AT&T which on my 5s was good

Sep 27, 2014 11:07 AM in response to kwaichangdaveby HighlandLass72,AMEN!!! The good news is that a Free Market economy (crippled, but not 'down for the count' in the USA) always gives us the ultimate leverage against poor product and service... B-bye, Apple; Hello 'fill in the blank'! I'm headed to Best Buy to vote with my feet. Join me, anyone?

Sep 27, 2014 11:18 AM in response to Jeep4Lifeby dani4576,Just a side note: I can verify iOS 8.0.2 caused no connectivity problems (Wi-Fi or Cellular) on my iPhone 4S.

Sep 27, 2014 11:18 AM in response to Jeep4Lifeby pberk,What solved my problem was updating to 8.0.2 AND rebooting everything, including the router.
After updating to 8.0.2 I shut everything down (router, computer, mobile devices), then rebooted my Airport Extreme router - after it came on I rebooted my computer and mobile devices and everything has been working fine...

Sep 27, 2014 11:30 AM in response to Jeep4Lifeby ccfromatl,Glad (at least in a "I'm not crazy" sort of way) to see others having issues with WiFi. I have an iPhone 6 and an iPhone 5. The 6 has no problems connecting or staying connected to my home network, fortunately. It's outside networks that are giving it fits. I am sitting in Best Buy as I type this and I FINALLY got my 6 to connect to the store's WiFi; my 5, about 6 inches away, had no issues connecting. my iPhone 5 is updated to 8.0.2; the 6 is not.
Although all software/hardware has issues following its initial release, Apple has been a bit sloppier recently than we're used to. Yes, the company is busy releasing products and updates but it also has thousands of employees commensurate with its level of activity. I hate to use the old Steve Jobs cliche but somebody needs to be a perfectionist here or at least inject a higher level of scrutiny given the increased spotlight on Apple and its products.
I also will say that, generally speaking, resetting the device as a new phone might solve some of the issues I see posted. As the iPhone is really a computer, they all need a little refresh every now and again even though the Apple propaganda machine leads you to believe otherwise (i.e., it just works). According to many of the genius at the stores, they restore their phones monthly. That's probably overkill, but quarterly or when installing a major update is probably necessary.

Sep 27, 2014 11:42 AM in response to pberkby yslimi,OK, this wifi issue has never been a problem before ios8 whatsoever. I have been using my ipad3 With the same connection and everything for some times and didnt have this wifi problem before. Problem occured just right after ios 8 update. I have 2 routers at home and all having the same problem. yeah yeah, reset ipad network connection, reset ipad, and router, none of this solved my problem. At one time, it seemed to work but after a while the same issue happend again.

Sep 27, 2014 12:00 PM in response to Jeep4Lifeby Anthony Curcione,Having the same problem on iPhone 6 w/IOS 8.0.2. Had it on 8.0 as well, but no issues on 2 iPad Mini's, iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s. Usually resetting network settings is all it takes to pull up wi-fi. What a pain...
