Q: iOS 8.0.2 Did not fix BlueTooth issues!

I see everyone posting ways to fix this but nothing works. It may work for a short while but then goes back to unable to make or rcv calls on BlueTooth in the car.

CNN Has finally picked this issue up. Hopefully Apple will now do something ASAP! I am ready to take my phone back and get a competitors model.

It does not matter how many times you reset all settings or network settings or wipe you cars bluetooth memory or change the phone name, etc. It does not work. I have been struggling with this since launch day of iOS8. I have 2 iPhone 5's with the exact same issue and they had no such issue for 2 years before iOS 8.

For those who post things like "The reset worked for me!" I ask that you shut your phone off or do an iTunes sync or backup and then let us know how it's working. Probably no success. It will revert to the same bluetooth issue.

I am terribly upset over this. I can't believe that Apple of all companies would have such a problem. It should "JUST WORK" but it doesn't. Very sad.

I do hope something gets done this weekend because I am ready to return it and move on to something else. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge Apple fan. I have a couple iPads, a MacBook Pro, Apple TV, 2 iPhone 5's, 1 iPhone 5c and an iPhone 6 now. But if this doesn't get fixed soon, I have no choice to dump my phone and move on.

The worst part is that we pay so much for a premium product and I don't expect these "amateur" issues.

Also people forget about going to your car dealership to get a bluetooth update as the Apple support people are telling everyone, including me.

So, please, Apple... Don't leave us hanging like this.

Glad you're amused.  When you break the terms of use for this forum, expect to have your post deleted or even, for a bad enough infraction, banned from the forum altogether.  So, you can say who has the right to post here?  And only those who have your misery should be able to post?  Sorry, but that's censoring and you don't have that right.  There's nothing wrong with someone checking out what's going on and seeing that some people are NOT having issues.  And to advise people they shouldn't try anything because you KNOW nothing will work, only serves to imply you want other's to suffer.  If that's your goal, good for you, but maybe, just maybe someone will find a solution that works for them.

    Who's the jerk now?

I have a right to be displeased about what people say here. Posting things like "everything works fine for me" IS gloating. Doesnt add ANYTHING.

Iphone 5s with ios 8.0.2 and still having issues with 2012 Ram Uconnect. It pairs up fine and even streams music, but when making or receiving calls there is no sound and you must transfer call back to handset to talk. I too have tried all of the hocus pocus tricks listed on the forums to no avail. Hopefully engineering is listening and working on a patch. I wish they would at least publicly acknowledge the problem. I have 14 days to decide if I want to keep this phone or not. If they would just release a statement saying they are working on a fix I would feel a lot better about keeping the phone.

It's not gloating.  It's providing a balanced view that not all users are having issues.  You must be the kind of person who visits a hospital, sees sick people and believes everyone on the planet is sick.

Nothing is balanced about taking the time to post "mine works".now who is being a jerk and starting personal attacks?

Maybe list the things you've tried or done and see if anyone has a suggestion you haven't tried.

So, you didn't call people who posted they aren't having issues "jerks?"  "If the shoe fits......."  Maybe your anger would be better directed at trying to find a solution.

so it's ok for you to tell me I am wrong, then follow suit? I can't "attack" but you can. Keep it going.

Nope.  I don't want to spar with you. Sure be frustrated.  If your phone isn't working right, you have the right to be frustrated.  But you can't call people jerks unless you're prepared to take the same heat.  Just sayin'.......

Good.  Now what have you tried to do to get your phone paired?  Maybe there is something someone can offer that will solve this for you.

Atkins400,  I'm not sure I see how this could be the case as I am experiencing the bluetooth car issue as well and I have not done any type of restore from a previous device. This is my very first Iphone (New 5s running ios8 originally and then upgraded to 8.2).  I have tried most of the solutions posted including network resets, reset all, deleting devices and re-pairing. No success, and currently waiting on a patch or at least an acknowledgement from Apple that they are working on it. If we don't hear anything within 14 days I will have to trade it in something else.

right...I have a mazda 3 and iphone 5...8.02 upgrade caused my music and phone to cease working in the car. I tried restoring back to ios 7, apple blocked that. I also tried reset all settings on iphone, still no go.
