Q: iOS 8.0.2 Did not fix BlueTooth issues!

I see everyone posting ways to fix this but nothing works. It may work for a short while but then goes back to unable to make or rcv calls on BlueTooth in the car.

CNN Has finally picked this issue up. Hopefully Apple will now do something ASAP! I am ready to take my phone back and get a competitors model.

It does not matter how many times you reset all settings or network settings or wipe you cars bluetooth memory or change the phone name, etc. It does not work. I have been struggling with this since launch day of iOS8. I have 2 iPhone 5's with the exact same issue and they had no such issue for 2 years before iOS 8.

For those who post things like "The reset worked for me!" I ask that you shut your phone off or do an iTunes sync or backup and then let us know how it's working. Probably no success. It will revert to the same bluetooth issue.

I am terribly upset over this. I can't believe that Apple of all companies would have such a problem. It should "JUST WORK" but it doesn't. Very sad.

I do hope something gets done this weekend because I am ready to return it and move on to something else. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge Apple fan. I have a couple iPads, a MacBook Pro, Apple TV, 2 iPhone 5's, 1 iPhone 5c and an iPhone 6 now. But if this doesn't get fixed soon, I have no choice to dump my phone and move on.

The worst part is that we pay so much for a premium product and I don't expect these "amateur" issues.

Also people forget about going to your car dealership to get a bluetooth update as the Apple support people are telling everyone, including me.

So, please, Apple... Don't leave us hanging like this.

Well, then you are one out of 10 million iPhone users. This is a major problem that is finally getting reported in all major news outlets. My new Acura TL had no issues with connecting until I picked up an iPhone 6 and upgraded to 8.1.

I'm having the same problem. Day 4 no hands free link. I've tried factory reset, and called sprint twice. I've tried to delete the old device but you can't find device to delete it. I have checked and the phone used to work before the software update just fine. I am unable to add handsfree link to the blue tooth to pair the phone to the car. I tried to remove the old phone but no way to do this with I Phone? Very stressful. What do you recommend. I emailed Apple and they told me to reset. Did that ! Nothing

    Thank you!

Same here. Looking at other phone options. I shouldn't be locked into a bad upgrade and should be able to downgrade if necessary. Their answer is to always either blame the end user or tell us to go to the car dealership which is nonsense and they know it. Tired of the cult of Apple.

Actually, iOS 8.1 on my iPhone 6 has resolved my bluetooth issues in both of my cars.

I took sometime but at least they managed it, THANKS.

I too am getting bluetooth problems. The problem is with the connection between my 2011 iMac running Yosemite and my Bose SoundLink III bluetooth speaker. It sounds like I am playing a vinyl record with a very nasty scratch on it. Very unacceptable. I did the usual restart but it didn't clear it so I assume it is a problem with Yosemite as I don't get the fault when linked between the Bose and my iPad running iOS8.

    Please sort it out Apple.

    iOS8.1 isn't a solution

Driving a 2009 BMW 535d and using iPhone 6 with iOS 8.1 ... both - Bluetooth Audio streaming AND cable-connected audio streaming is disgusting.

@BT-Audio-Streaming -- the playback stopp after a while and my "iDrive" tells me that the Bluetoothdevice is at "Data-Transfer"

@cable-connected .--- after a while it plays a horrible high beep - after that - playback interrupts and thats it.

Come on Apple guys - thats awkward ... i don't have a cheap plastic android phone. i ve got a 800 bugs phone?!?

P.S i tried to set the iPhone at flightmode while using BT-Audio-streaming. so far it worked fine. but thats no solution!! it's just a **** workaround!

Update: After switching in flight mode with Bluetooth activated my playback works fine. That's about 30 minutes. Without flight mode the playback crashes after 2-5 Songs

I can not understand the dependencies of "flight mode with bluetooth ON" --> OK .. and "flight mode deactivated with bluetooth ON" --> NOK

I had the same issue in a Peugeot 308 GTi. Even though the audio is Clarion the bluetooth had the same issues with my iPhone 5.

After the update 8.1  I haven't had issues yet but I still can't pair my iPhone with my MacBook Pro mid 2010. I don´t know if this is a compatibility issue with the built in Bluetooth in my mac.

    I'll keep posting new issues.

Found a better solution than the flight mode

Not sure if the wording is correct because i use a german iOS.

    Go to "preferences"

    than "general"

    than "Bluetooth"

than "Device you want to stream audio" (in my case BMW)

than "Deactivate the sync and the notifications"

    Fixed

Same here, and I am done with iPhone and Apple products.  The 5c is my 3rd iphone in 2 years!  Not sure what went wrong with my first one but it stopped working only 8 days after I got it (4s).  My last 4s was killed by an ios update last November, was replaced with the 5c and now the Bluetooth is not working.  I have tried every fix and nothing has worked, not even for a brief time.  I took it in and all they said is 'yup, the Bluetooth is toast'.  This is not the only issue I am having, also touch screen locks up constantly.

I expected more from Apple products, like, oh I don't know, supporting their product when they release an update that turns iPhones into paperweights.
