Family Sharing and icloud Settings

When trying to set up Family Sharing it tells me to add my birthdate to my account in iCloud settings. However, I can't find any place in iCloud settings to add my birthdate? Any ideas?

iPhone 6, iOS 8

Go to Settings>iCloud>Account, enter your Password, tap Passwords & Security, then tap Birthday.

Have done this repeatedly, still get this error: Add your birthday to your account in iCloud pane in System Preferences to be able to join a Family.

Yes, family member also has birthday set. Not sure where the problem lies.
