iPhone 6 still says "Restoring from Icloud Backup" on my lock screen

When you interrupt an iCloud backup, it suspends until you reconnect to wifi. If you reconnect within three days it should normally automatically resume restoring where it left off. If you wait longer than that, it should time out and will have to restore that backup again from the beginning.

The backup should resume automatically. I'm not sure how you would manually stop it using iOS 8 (you could do this in settings with iOS 7). Since your phone is new you have free phone support from Apple. Give support a call and ask them. If you get an answer perhaps you could post it here to help others.

I had this problem as well. And my solution was just to make sure everything was transfered and re start the phone.
