Install Windows 7 and delete Mavericks

Hello

I have an MacBook Air and would like to install and run Windows 7 (64 bit) in stead of Mavericks. The have been happy to run Mac OS X on my Mac but now there are more meaning in to run Windows because there are programs that we runs on my work that I can´t run under Mac OS X. Microsoft Office is better on Windows than Mac and I will also like to program so I will install Visual Studio Express.

I have some questions about installing Windows on a Mac.

1) How does Apple thinks you should install Windows on a MacBook Air when Boot-camp does not support creation of a Windows Install USB boot disc from an ISO-file and there is no DVD-drive in the MacBook Air? Yes, I know there is at trick that make it possible but why is it standard in Boot-camp?

2) What is the best way to install Windows on a Mac? If it is possible to run Windows without Mac OS X it will be the best solution for me. How do I do that? With Boot-camp you have to run both Windows and Mac OS X. I will like to run 100 % Windows and no Mac OS X.

3) What is yours experiences with run Windows on a Mac? What about the keyboard does It work well under Windows? How do I use the Windows hotkeys like control-alt-delete?

4) Is it possible to boot direct into Windows with an USB boot disc? I will like to take a Image of my installation.

Windows runs very well on Apple computers.

1) Run Windows natively using Boot Camp. There is no "trick". Just read and follow the instructions for Boot Camp. Or run Windows in a Virtual Machine like Parallels, Fusion, or VirtualBox

2) Use Boot Camp or a Virtual Machine. Do not remove OSX. You will need OSX to mangae system security and other updates.

3) Windows runs as well on an Apple computer as it does on a Windows PC. Read the instructions regarding key mapping and other Windows use.

4) Windows will not boot from an external drive. Read about Windows on a Microsoft site.

What year is the Macbook Air? Is your MBA not in the following list?

From Boot Camp 5.1: Frequently asked questions

Can I use a downloaded (ISO) version of Windows with Boot Camp?

MacBook Air (Mid 2011 and later), MacBook Pro (Mid 2012 and later, including Retina models), Mac mini (Mid 2011 and later), and iMac (Late 2012) can install downloaded (ISO) versions of Windows 7 and 8.
