"Keychain cannot be found to store 'registratioV1". Help!

Synopsis: I had to reset the user password on an early 2008 iMac. It's running Mavericks 10.9.5. After resetting the user password, I got the message window "A keychain cannot be found to store 'registrationV1." Below it are the choices "cancel" and ":reset to default." I'm not going any further until I can get a clue to what I'm doing. Help! Thanks in advance.

Go to ~/Library/Keychain. Pull the whole Keychain folder to the trash. Restart the computer. You may be prompted for some passwords.
