iPad 2 with iOS 8.0.2 - still no service

Yesterday i updated my iPad 2 with iOS 8.0.2. Today the same bug: no service after a couple of hours. Its not a good user experience if you are on the way or in a meeting with a customer and you can't use internet because of no service.

Apple has released iOS 8 with support for the good old iPad 2, but seems not interested in fixing this bug. Its a shame. Over years i'am a satisfied customer of Apple products, but in last time i am not very satisfied. Apple has to confirm and to fix this bug. On my bug report in Apple Bug Reporter still no reaction.

I had this problem on my ipad2. At the first trip to the genius bar he sent me to AT&T for a new sim card. That did not work. At the second trip to the genius I bought a replacement ipad2 for 250 which had ios 7. I (stupidly) upgraded to 8.0.2 and now the problem is back! So clearly no one at Apple (or at least at the apple store I go to) knows about this problem. I guess I can return this one for a new one and not update...

Im not that great with technology.... so am grateful to see it is NOT ME .... I have iPhone 5, software updated to 8.0.2, and as a result NO SERVICE - a phone I need for work as well as play, due to fact I work mainly from home, if this is not sorted out very quickly I will throw a major hissy fit! Apple you have me at your mercy, so get it sorted please.

It's important that we report the fault officially. http://www.apple.com/feedback/ I suggest each user with the problem report it to Apple AND their carrier. The problem is worldwide so if 50 or 100 carriers also start passing complaints to Apple it might get us a quicker fix. 8.1 is likely to be launched before Apple's next product launch on 16 Oct. let's just hope it has a fix for us.

I Believe the issue (or a variation) affects more modern devices too. My iPhone 5c regulRly looses 4G and 3G connectivity and drops back to EDGE or GPRS. Switching to Airplane Mode and back is the quickest fix if you are stationary. As some connectivity is still present, if mobile, it sorts itself out when you move to a new cell tower.
