I pre-ordered the 6 plus on the 12th, and my shipping status changed to "preparing for shipment" last night, does anyone know long this usually takes?
Some have told me that this means it will usually be shipping very soon, if it has not already.

My order has said Preparing For Shipment for days. But the expected delivery is still Oct. 14 to Oct. 21, just like it has been all along. 6Plus, Space Gray, 128 GB, AT&T.
well hopefully we will both be getting our shipping confirmation emails soon, and the delivery date gets pushed up.
I received a notice that my phone has shipped this morning. Expected delivery is now October 6.
same here, if you click track shipment, mine says it is actually scheduled to arrive the 2nd. is that the case with you too?

This is a pleasant surprise, as last year when I ordered a gold 5S, delivery kept getting postponed due to shortages.
Mine is still showing "preparing for shipment." It has been saying this since last wednesday night. I preordered on September 12th.
Might have something to do with availability/supply for the version you ordered. I ordered mine late morning (EDT) on the 13th.
My tracking status changed yesterday to October 2, delivery, but still many days ahead of projected delivery on original confirmation.
ok. How long did it stay on "preparing for shipment" for you?
Mine was about 28 hours, it changed to preparing for shipment around 10pm, and shipped the following "night" at 1:45am. What carrier do you have? Because i know AT&T and Verizon both started shipping out backorders earlier than expected, thats why I think mine shipped early.
I have AT&T.
Does anyone know how long the "preparing for shipment" step takes?
