The camera quality has always been a selling point. However, the photodirect have taken so far with the 6 are all grainy - taken outside in good sunlight. Is this an error with just my phone or is this a wider issue? more

Oct 6, 2014 1:38 PM in response to eddyodaby sur4dye,It's on all iPhone 6 / plusses -- more apparent on the regular 6. iOS uses a very aggressive noise reduction which paired with the new phones is shooting some lousy, smudgy photos even in bright daylight. Hopefully they fix this in a software update because as of now, the camera feature is whack.

Dec 27, 2014 7:02 PM in response to eddyodaby brittadine,I purchased an iPhone 6 on 12.26.14 and returned it today (12.27.14). I was aghast at the insane heavy-handedness of the noise reduction. I, too, use my camera for photographic purposes related to my work and the watercolor effect was unbearable. I will be going back to the 5 and upgrading to the 5s when the time comes. I am REALLY hoping Apple reconsiders this decision. The images from my 6 were absolutely horrible. I am so disappointed.
