If I purchase an unlocked iPhone 6 can it be activated on my sprint account and then later moved onto an ATT account?
What is wrong with just buying the AT&T in the first place?
Because I am currently on Sprint and not ready to switch for about 6 months....but I want the phone now

An unlocked phone will not work on Sprint's CDMA/LTE network. You would need to buy a phone from Sprint. Before doing so, inquire as to their unlocking policies. I don't know if they will unlock phones for use on other U.S. carriers.
Or, wait until your contract is up and then buy an AT&T phone.
