What is the reason why Healthkit is not included in the iPad iOS 8! I am the owner of an iPhone 4 and an iPad mini, and can not see why it would be exclusive to iPhones (4s upwards) only... And why update iPad mini to iOS 8 just to deny it features?

No iPad model on iOS 8 comes with HealthKit.
It is, currently, iPhone only.
Just would love someone from Apple to answer why they have not added it to the iPad, but I don't think anyone could give a straight up explanation that would make any sense. But thank you for your reply.
Umm, the health app (healthkit) has manual editing so, thus makes it possible to run on iPad and it would update using Bluetooth or wireless connecting apps for iPad... GPS is not the be-end. That's all that the iphone is using to count steps etc...

Agree, there should be an iPad version of Health, even if it is read-only. The iPad working screen space is much better to view all parameters data and graphs.
