You may have to try your luck with resellers who offer valid products

and not just tainted or altered downloads that could contain malware

or adware, among other things; I see a few older games in this page

from welovemacs. There likely are other sources for games on disc.

    http://www.welovemacs.com/macosxgames.html

With a vintage version of Pacifist, a utility that can extract bits of

software from install DVDs, you could get games from system

discs you may have that no longer have a computer to match.

    http://www.charlessoft.com/pacifist_olderversions.html

Pacifist can extract & install from the Finder. Old versions may

still be available, if so one suited to Panther could help you to

recycle games otherwise lost; mostly Pacifist is great to install

parts of system software without performing an entire install.

Second hand stores, school district rummage sales, and others may

be places to frequent in search of media discs of various game titles.

Check Apple User groups in your area, some members may have a

lead on helping locate vintage games and other gear.

Also, check pawn shops and other places that may toss these out at

some point in time; newer faster moving inventory is more profitable.

And of course, ebay or craigslist may offer items; be sure you are

dealing with someone that really has the product, or recourse if not.

I see sites of notorious proportion (softonic, cnet, etc) that appear to

offer free downloads of games, but these sites can do more harm

than good in what may be included or substituted instead of a game.

"free download" also does not mean the content is free running nor

does it guaranty you have a worthwhile product that you wanted.

    Good luck & happy computing!

Maybe sources of usable software for the vintage era of the PPC portable

and its system software could be found among places that have freeware

that allow you to get them for offline use; perhaps with a newer computer

and be sure to save content from the source in a way that does not change

it, then later the older computer could see and use the files.

macintosh abandonware (worth a look, yet may be far older than 10.3.9!)

Other sites where they may actually have inventory for sale, probably should

be called (look for toll-free phone number, or customer service email) to see

what they have. Mostly the internet & careful searches are ways to generate

leads, but be wary of scams and flaky download sites of tampered content

or bogus bait-n-switch tactics. Free download may cost more than money.

My earlier post timed-out, so update wasn't allowed there...

    Good luck & happy computing!

Amazon has a plethora of OS X compatible games for very reasonable prices (I have even seen them cheaper than the shipping fee!) If you ever find a game that is priced higher than $10 or so, you can usually find it cheaper on eBay. I would first start on Amazon since they have a better selection and you can combine orders and shipping on FBA (fulfilled by Amazon) orders.

One of the curious and helpful, for older Mac users, are the additional items

that are seen for vintage & obsolete systems, among full list of Games there:

    •List of All games A-Z:

    http://macintoshgarden.org/all

There are items that may help keep an ancient Mac working offline

& not tossed in a dumpster (or 'recycled') among listed old games.

I hadn't looked. This stuff could work in my PM 7300 in MacOS 8.5.
