Contact Photos Edits Getting Reset (iOS 8)

Is anyone else having an issue where once you position and scale a contact photo, save it, it then gets your edits reset.

Odd thing is, it doesn't seem to do it with all contacts, I have one in particular where it refuses to take my edits. I've tried high res versions of the photo, making it square, mailing myself a .VCF and deleting then re-adding the contact, everything.

Yet, every time, iOS 8 decides it wants to reset it. It's very frustrating.

yes. every time i add any photo to any contact no matter how it is positioned or sized, the resulting image zooms in and moves randomly. i have found that editing the contact in icloud.com or in the contacts application on a mac works just fine though. the problem seems to be in iOS.

I am missing the contact photos in iMessage or are they not supposed to be there?

they can be found in the details pane of iMessage but not in the listing of actual text messages.

i think this version of iOS has bugs a plenty still and we will see 8.1.1 soon.

TThis is a fairly old thread, but I wanted to say that it appears to only be iCloud contacts that blow up that way. The Gmail contacts don't. It is weird. But at the bottom where iCloud and Gmail contacts are together, only iCloud get huge in the circle.

I know it's an old thread too, but I 've just noticed that bug too. After 5 seconds photo resets to original setting no matter what. Haven't tried on a computer though.
