why cant I sync most of my music on itunes with my new computer?

Im trying to sync music from my iphone 4s to itunes on my new computer using windows. the only songs transferred were the songs in the cloud, all the older songs did not transfer. I said there was an error syncing 88 songs????

can anyone help?

iPad 2, iOS 7.1.2

The sync is one way - computer to iPhone.

The exception is iTunes purchases. File>Devices>Transfer Purchases

Copy everything from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer to your new one.
