Why does TuneupmyMac keep popping up when I start my Mac? How do I get rid of the pop-up?

Simple. Because tune up my mac is MALWARE. Just feed it into Google and read the comments. What made you install it in the first place without first checking it out.
I never installed it; it just appeared.

I can only imagine you were downloading something else from either Softonic or Cnet and this was their present to you. Go to http://www.thesafemac.com/mmg/ and read through the details on Malware.
