Computer won't boot up or power up
Hello
My wife's iMac 2010 running updated Maverick won't power up. Tan screen shows up then loading graphic on bottom. It goes 1/3 of the way and then everything goes blank. Any advice?

In your situation, I would recommend reading over and trying the steps included in the attached article.
Resolve startup issues and perform disk maintenance with Disk Utility and fsck
