Dec 31, 2014 12:30 PM in response to Jeanmarchpby agentfuller,me too. When I first got my iPhone 6 it worked great, but since the 8.1.2 update, my battery doesn't stay charged long at all. It goes from 100% to 18% overnight with no usage and the home and lock percentage for battery use is higher than any of the other apps. I have been to the apple store twice and am going back again. They can't figure it out.
Apple please fix this!!!

Dec 31, 2014 3:09 PM in response to agentfullerby Lawrence Finch,My iPhone 6 on 8.1.2 has better battery life than any iPhone I have ever owned over 7 1/2 years. For the first time in my life I can go 2 days between charges.
So whatever your problem is, it isn't the phone and isn't iOS 8.1.2. See if this helps: http://www.overthought.org/blog/2014/the-ultimate-guide-to-solving-ios-battery-d rain

While I can't go quite that long, I've been incredibly impressed with the battery life on my iPhone 6.

Dec 31, 2014 3:34 PM in response to teesoup2010by KiltedTim,I have to concur with the others here. The battery life on my 6 has been fantastic. Definitely better than my 5, or my 4S, or my 4, or 3Gs, or original iPhone.

Jan 1, 2015 10:45 AM in response to teesoup2010by Smokerz,I bought four of them and each has outstanding battery life.
All have LTE turned off. If you don't live in a high reception area to receive LTE then turn it off. The iPhone will search for a strong LTE signal eating up the battery. Turn it on when in a large city then off after leaving.

Jan 3, 2015 9:27 AM in response to orangeblimpby agentfuller,Thanks to everyone who responded. I took my phone back to the Apple store again and the first Genius made me feel like I was lying and had made it up! Dude are u serious, who wants to come to the Apple Store 3 times in 5 days?!?! I asked for a manager and he actually listened to me. After an hour in the store and no clear signs of an issue (battery diagnostics all said no issue and they had no info about there being a software problem), they decided to give me another new phone (phone #3). I started from a new phone with all default settings and my cloud. Let it sit overnight at 100% (expecting it to be 18% again) and magic, it was at 97% the next morning. over the past several days, I have slowly started adding things (first the apps, then fingerprint, etc.) Just to see if I could figure out what the issue was. No issues. I guess it's true what they say...3rd times the charm!!

Jan 8, 2015 5:40 PM in response to agentfullerby agentfuller,so the 3rd time is not the charm! i have been in the apple store 3 more times over the past week. Some of the people in the store have been trying to help and others are treating me like I am lying. When i reference the community sharing issues, they tell dismiss me. I asked them to give me a 5s and they tell me they can only do a same for same exchange. And now my phone is past the return warranty because i have been in this store for the past 2 weeks and they are refusing to return my money. I'm over it and am done with Apple.
Good luck to everyone else with this issue. Hope you get a resolution

After a couple of weeks and most apps back on, I can confirm that my iPhone 6 that was exchanged from a problem iPhone 6 has fantastic battery life.. Last almost 2 days with moderate use and most things that usually drain battery switched on!!! I have never had this even from the old one being new.. If that makes sense!
deffo must have been a hardware issue. Good luck guys.. Go and push for exchange!

Unless a particular unit is defective (which is exceedingly rare), then you have to look at the common element; the user.
Want to test your battery life properly, but don't want to go to an Apple Store to have them do a diagnostic?
Make a backup. Restore as new. Test the issue again. Here's a way to test your battery 'issue' without any bias:
• First, charge up the device to 100%. To enable the percentage indicator, go to Settings > General > Usage, and turn on Battery Percentage.
• Once the device is charged to 100%, make sure to close out all Apps that are running on the device. In iOS 7/8, you close out running apps by double-tapping the Home Button, and then swiping your finger up across the preview screen of each app to move it off the top of the screen.
• Then, turn off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and cellular data. Settings > Wi-Fi > Wi-Fi: OFF, Settings > Bluetooth > Bluetooth: OFF, & Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data: OFF. This will not prevent you from receiving any phone calls.
• Go back to the Home Screen, and take a screenshot. Press both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together briefly, and you will see the screen flash white for a split-second, and an image will be saved to your Photo App Camera Roll.
• Disconnect the iPhone from the charger, and lock the screen so it is dark.
• Let the iPhone sit in this ‘standby state’ for as long as possible, preferably overnight.
• In the morning, unlock the screen, and then take a screenshot of the Home Screen again.
These two screenshots will help to document how long the device was in standby mode, and how much battery percentage was used.
