Incoming Calls Interrupt AppleTV Streaming

So I've just updated my iPad Mini Retina to iOS8. My iPhone 6 came with iOS8. And my AppleTV (3rd Gen) has been updated to the latest software as well.

I was streaming a movie from my iMac via Home Sharing. When my phone rang, I ignored the call. Then the movie stopped and the screen went back to the Movies menu on the AppleTV. Didn't think much of it at the time. Restarted the movie and finished watching it.

Later the same day, I was streaming music from my library on the iMac. Again, my phone rang, ignored the call, the music stopped and went back to the Music menu.

At first I thought maybe it had to due with the fact that I was using the Remote App on my iPad Mini to control it. So I quit the App and used the AppleTV remote to play music. Then I had my wife call my phone, sure enough after ignoring the call the music stopped. It has done it every time I've tried it.

What's with this?

My phone should not interfere with the AppleTV regardless if it is controlling it or not. I can understand that it would interfere with AirPlay but I am not doing that.

Anybody else had this happen? Any fixes?

It is a big pain to restart movies and music, every time my phone rings.
