When I change my iCloud password does it log me out on my other devices?

My iPhone 5c was stolen and I'm trying to make 100% positive that the thief can't make charges to my account. I changed my iCloud password, but I don't know if that would have logged me out on my stolen phone or not. I put a lock on it using the Find My iPhone app just in case, but I'm taking all precautions for this. I've also disconnected the line.

It does not log out of all of devices, but when the user tries to use an app that is tied to your ID, it will sync with immediately sync to the Cloud, since you have a new password, a message popup will appear asking for the new one. But before that the lock from Find My iPhone will leave the phone unusable.

I'm explaining this because if the user who stole your iPhone and “is not connected” to wi-fi, a computer or using cellular data, there's no way to send that request until the device is requesting data from iCloud.
