So I'm not sure if anyone else is experiencing this, but my phone volume is very quiet (it can be difficult to hear people) when I am using my phone to talk. However when I play music the sound is very loud? Anyone else having this issue?
any recommendations for fixes are welcome!!

Yes, I have the same problem, except I don't do Music. Every time I answer or talk (listen) on the my IPhone 6 Plus I can barely hear what the other Person has to say. Wish there will be a solution to the Problem.
Did you set the volume when in a call? You can change a setting to change the volume with the buttons, under sounds / ringer and alerts. When you are in a call, use the up/down volume buttons to adjust the volume level.
did you find a solution to the volume issue?im having trouble hearing when i text,phone dial,and use calculator the volume is next to nothing????

i am still having volume issues I seem to notice it during calls, even with the volume at max. Hopefully it will be resolved!

NNo I'm sure it's a software issue. If it were hardware the sound would be quiet even when listening to music or while in my apps. since it's only quiet for me during phone calls, then that leads me to believe it's software related!

even though my calculator sound is very low and when i dial a phone number is same very low you still think its software?

I'm no software engineer or hardware engineer, so I can't say for sure. What I would think is if it was a hardware issue, it would effect all sound (music player, youtube, ringtones). Hardware would mean a defective speaker, so everything would be impacted. software however can have some things working fine, while other things are not working as well. At least that's my opinion. Again I'm no engineer so maybe someone who knows a bit more can chime in!

well i did a 6plus backup like someone suggested then wiped the phone to factory and of course it did nothing well i think ill have to go to applestore and have them swap it out.... unless its supposed to be that way my husbands 6 is same way
I had the same problem but when I called Apple Support and we tried a number of things - what fixed it was the plastic over the speaker hole. took it off and voila! Someone else did the same fix - don't discount it. At least try. Worked for me
