Is the quality not as good as a more expenive one ? or do they drop out of connection etc?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

No first hand knowledge of those devices; are they returnable?.

Most digital tape cameras can digitize the analog footage. I'd guess that most people who need to have the capability to ingest VHS have also made the investment in a dedicated analog - digital box.

    Good luck.
