Sep 29, 2014 5:20 AM in response to Dangerous_Dby Ralph Landry1,Some basic guesses from http://www.everymac.com
MacBook 13" Late 2006 is a MacBook2,1 and that uses PC2-5300 DDR2 667 MHz ram.
MacBook Pro 13" did not use 2.4 GHz but the first of the 13" models was the MacBook Pro7,1 and that uses PC3-8500 DDR3 1066 MHz ram.
Those are not compatible and cannot be used interchangeably.

Sep 29, 2014 6:50 AM in response to Dangerous_Dby Ralph Landry1,You can double check the machines to be sure of what you have by going to the apple left side of the menu bar, About This Mac, More Info, System Report, Hardware and see what it shows for the Model Identifier - that will say something like MacBook2,1 and MacBook Prox,1 then take those number to the everyman site and click on MacBook and on MacBook Pro and find the machines and the memory specs. But it is not likely those specs I found are going to be too far off...and to be useable they much match exactly. Macs are notoriously touchy about their ram modules.
