How come iphone 6 128gb only has 114gb (capacity 114gb, available 110)installed but sells as 128gb?

The base capacity may be 128 GB, but the iOS takes at least 8.4 GB out of that. Additional installed content will remove more of that to give you the available storage capacity.

I Understand the available part, the OS, apps, etc. but why it says CAPACITY 114 instead of 128? And then available 108gb or so ? iPhone 6 64gb capacity is only 54.8gb and available less, and iphone 6 16gb capacity is only 12.4 or so and again available storage is less so I just don't understand why 3 iphone 6es are so inconsistent with How much OS actually takes from the actual storage. Because if in fact the OS was 8.4 gb then iphone 6 16gb would only have 8gb left and not 12.4? Sorry for my English, english is my second language:).

Are you referring to an iPhone with nothing on it other than what it came with out of the box, or do you have mail, photos, music, other apps, etc., on this device?

when you buy a computer it tells you the amount of storage and how much of that storage is available for costumer use do to operating system and programs already pre installed example capacity 500gb available 450gb, my iPhone 6 128gb has capacity stated to be 114gb not 128 and availability less then 114 and not 128gb so unless OS takes more then 20gb on iphone 6 128gb there is something wrong,

This is how iPhone list Capacity. My 64GB device shows capacity as 56.0 GB. It's not an issue as I've read and basically understand how capacity is actually measured.

I don't know. Are you really concerned that with that much storage, you were shorted in some way? It would take an amazing amount of data to eat up the available storage on your device.

Because rbrylawski has a 64 gig model and yours is 128. The difference is proportional to the size of the drive. Apparently you still haven't read the article referenced above. Please do so. It will explain the difference.
