Deleting bookmarks page after upgrading to ios8

I Just upgraded to ios8 in my iPad mini. That stoopid bookmarks page is hogging half the screen and I can't make it go away! I'm pretty MAC nept. Is there an easy step by step instruction to get rid of this?

i Know I'm not the only one. Please Apple make this go away!
