Jun 4, 2015 9:26 AM in response to robdinotoby stevejobsfan0123,Wrong again. Continuity features like having phone calls come in on multiple devices require the devices to be in Wi-Fi range of each other. As far as your carrier is concerned, the phone call is only coming in on the phone whose number is associated with the call. That device then alerts the others over Wi-Fi that there is an incoming call. No extra charges involved.

Jun 4, 2015 9:35 AM in response to stevejobsfan0123by robdinoto,OK you think it's a good feature - for me it stops me from knowing which number they actually called! I don't want to answer someone who called my Australian phone when I'm in Germany for example to avoid roaming costs. With this feature I cannot know which number they actually called!
any idea how to stop the replicated recent call lists problem?

Look anyway there is a workaround for the "phones ringing at the same time problem". But not for the "recent call lists replication" bug. This is a bug, definitely not a feature, and should be fixed.
Again, you're not paying attention. Using separate iCloud IDs DOES fix the recent calls list, calm down and actually read what I wrote in my last post.

Jun 5, 2015 1:25 AM in response to deggieby robdinoto,it isn't a bug that the recent calls lists are mixed between phones holding different SIM cards? If you think that isn't a bug, then your logic is mis-guided, sorry.

Jun 5, 2015 1:28 AM in response to robdinotoby robdinoto,in fact they're not even consistenly shared (the recent call lists) but mixed some how. Some of the calls appear on two of the phones, some don't, and some appear on all 4 phones. No pattern whatsoever. OH but its not a bug Deggie!

Jun 5, 2015 1:34 AM in response to robdinotoby Jonathan Payne1,There are clearly several bugs here and I am working through one of them with apple support as we speak.
My case is two separate phones, two separate icloud IDs, and a facetime call to my wife's phone rings my phone as well. And since it rings my phone it also rings my computer, but I have set that up so that part is expected.
I think FaceTime struggles when a SIM card is periodically shared between two phones. E.g., I have a USA SIM card that I use when I go to the States. My wife uses the same card when she goes. Somehow the association of that phone number is stuck with both our phones even though we're both in the UK again using our UK SIM cards. And, even when my wife is in the USA still using the USA SIM card, it rings her phone in the US and my phone in the UK at the same time.
So yeah, there are bugs. To repeatedly tell people there aren't is kinda rude.

Jun 5, 2015 1:39 AM in response to Jonathan Payne1by robdinoto,Well said Jon. I have SIM cards, from Germany, Austria, Australia and Italy and also sometimes switch them between phones. The way that various Apps handle this is a disaster. Its one of many issues.

Jul 18, 2015 4:50 AM in response to Tfhallby Jonathan Payne1,I thought I'd reply and explain how my issue was resolved. Basically, my issue was that when somebody called my wife, it rang my phone as well. It didn't matter whether it was a US SIM card or another one, both phones were being rung.
It turns out the cause was due to a friend who had my number AND my wife's number stored in the same contact. She had both our UK numbers and our single USA phone number all together in a single contact. I can't believe I didn't think to check that until Apple told me that was the only explanation (after pouring through 100s of MB of log data).
So yeah. This might not have anything to do with the vast majority of people in this thread but I thought I better mention it. My thanks to Apple for taking my bug report seriously.

Well, you could just read a few of the 50-odd messages in this thread and find out what others have said about it.

Sep 7, 2015 1:21 PM in response to RitterBby FlyingCircus10,Turning off handoff IS the solution. Thank you! Calls now do not span 2 phones at the same time.

Sep 16, 2015 4:21 PM in response to mtacconelliby kd582014,This only happens with multiple devices sharing apple IDs and iCloud and being on wifi at the time. Turning off hand off made no difference but turning off the cellular option in face time does work. Face time/iPhone Mobile Calls/off. If you read the description under this setting you can see exactly how it is meant to work. I can only assume it is so that you can receive incoming calls on an ipad or other device unless of course you have more than one iPhone of your own.
