I have the same problem. My phone and iPad are both mirroring well until the latest update to iOS 8.1.3. We uses reflector app to mirror our iPad to our computers but it's not working anymore. Airplay is still working whenever I use my apple TV at home though. I hope Apple will fix this in the next updates.
i am experiencing the same. None of my devices can recognise AirPlay on my apple TV. I have reset my Apple TV, all device are on the dame wifi and I have rest my router. Is this a common problem?
Having the same problem here. It seems to recognise movies in iTunes before the update but won't play them now. It tries to and then drops out after I get the spinning wheel for a bit. Kinda pants
Then that is an issue with the Reflector app, which is a 3rd party program
That indicates an issue with the local network.
Try connecting ATV via ethernet
You can see a status of the network by going to istumbler, netstumbler or similar. Look for signal strength, noise, nearby networks.
For me it was the new experiabox V10 (KPN)
i disabled WiFi on 5 GHz on the router, now all devices are on 2.4 GHz.
and everything works fine now.
