Yes, if your machine is an Intel core two duo Aluminium body. First you will need to buy the Snow Leopard OS from on line Apple. It comes as version 10.6.3 and will need to be updated to 10.6.8 via the Combo update. .http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1399

Then you can get Mavericks free from the App store and go directly.

Before installation you should back up all your data.

When you have installed it, run Software Update to download and install the latest updates for Snow Leopard to bring it up to 10.6.8, or download the combo update from here:
