Q: cant download files from icloud drive to my pc in browser

hi

i just decided to try the drive service, more specifically its browser version, as im not ready to update to ios 8 my devices..., and although i was able to upload an xml file (excel file), i cant seem to download it back on any of my pcs... also i cant even open in any of the online apps (numbers, pages)

all done in chrome

any help? maybe im not doing smth right?:(
