How can I tell if my iMac has a SSD

Hi

I have an i5, 27" iMac approx. 4.5 years old, how can I tell if it has a SSD or HDD?

I know it's under the Apple icon but what/where do I look to tell me the answer?

A 4.5 year old iMac would not have an SSD unless it was installed as an aftermarket device.

If you are running Lion or later, run System Information (Applications - Utilities - System Information) and on the left pane look for the hardware installed and you will be able to see if an SSD was installed, it would be a SATA device.
