Q: Updated to 8.02, now iPhone 5 has no internet or icloud

My iPhone keeps giving verification error on log in to iCloud, and doesn't seem to connect to the internet.  This happened following updating to 8.02.  Now missing text messages from other iphones.  Connection failure seems to occur either with our without wifi on.  Forcing into ATT cell service doesn't help.
