Podcasts are not syncing

Hi: My podcasts aren't syncing since I upgraded to ios 8. On iTunes the podcasts are checked, but they're not available when I attempt to access them through the Podcast app. I haven't changed any settings since I upgraded. But, whereas before they were syncing, now they are not
