Iphone 6 Plus 60fps causing camera app to freeze

I have got this error and iOS 8.1.3 can't fix this problem, keep waiting 😢

So disappointing..iOS 8.2 doesn't fix this bug.

ya... i have to turn off assistive touch entirely.... hate it.

I think we should go to Apple care. I can't wait Apple to fix it by update their iOS anymore.

I went to an apple store last February, I erased the device and followed the same, then restored and left to freeze the camera. Upgrade to 8.2 and return the problem today contact support by chat and tell me it was for update by wi fi ??? is that it does so everyone ?? but restore it to rule again and the problem remains the same if you move the phone in video and photo transfer to it freezes.

I am very disappointed, buy iphone 6 plus because I had the best camera but it turns out that's what works worse. Apple should fix this problem once and for all and not pretend to be deleted every pair that the problem is corrected some equipment ....

Why doesn't Apple know this topic ? I think this is a big error.

This is still an issue for me with either 30 or 60 fps.

If I use other apps, like coaches eye I get no freezing.

Very disappointing.

Good news everyone! Apple squashed this bug in today's iOS 8.3 Update 4/8/15. Back up your phones to iCloud and go to SETTING | GENERAL | SOFTWARE UPDATE right now!

My issue was with IOS 8.3 video camera doing exact same thing. The other part was the videos I shot were not in the camera at all.

I did a reboot, held down power and home button until Apple logo appeared and so far my issue has not returned. I have tried in 30 fps and 60 fps and both have worked. Also all the videos that were deemed lost have been recovered.

I feedback to apple in Dec, seems they don't want to do anything for it, also, they won't recall product ,they don't fix bug or issue, what can we do for it? Accept it! I really hope some one can submit a case to court,maybe apple will see it then.

But I found a temporary solve method, retain 60 fps video and assistive touch,

But no more rotation in home screen.

This issue was driving me crazy so I decided to restore my phone set up brand new. Set up on 8.4 as a new phone without adding any extra apps or even signing into iCloud. In fact, the only apps I ever opened since the restore are Settings and the Camera. Before I tried out 60fps even once, I made the following settings...

. turn off Assistive Touch
. changed view from Standard to Zoomed

. disabled rotation

...and then powered down the phone, waited a minute, then powered back on. Double checked the changed settings remained in tact, then closed (swipe-up closed) the settings app so no other app at all was running.

All the above to say: I took every possible measure to get the 60fps video to work. And when I opened the camera app and swiped to video, it still froze up.

While some of the fixes in this thread may help you, it's very possible that none of them will. This is a bug that, in my case, fully negates one of the major selling points of the phone.

You would've saved yourself the hassle and time if you read through the entire thread. People have restored their phones and even replaced it using AppleCare only to realize that the issue still exists. We're all waiting for Apple to fix this software or hardware bug. Please contact Apple and report this issue so that they know to fix this before releasing iOSS 9.
