Why does UPS keep changing delivery date of new iPhone?

I ordered my Sprint 64GB iPhone Space Gray 6 Plus on September 12 and delivery was expected on Oct 3rd. Then I received notification that it would be delivered on Oct 1, and then this morning UPS says it will be on Oct 6th. WHAT GIVES??? According to the tracking information the package hasn't moved in DAYS. Talking to UPS gets me no place.... Is anyone else having this issue???

I have found the UPS sometimes does "virtual scans". In other words they predict were the package will be be, even though it is not. If tracking states it will be Oct 6th, more than likely it will be to you then.
