iPhone 6 Plus headache and migraine

Been buying new iPhones every year since they have been released.. Received my new iPhone 6 plus last Friday the 19th on launch date and was super excited!

After owning the phone for a day, I started to notice that I have a really bad headache. Been using it for 12 days now and the headache has not gone away... The only difference that I can tell from this phone and my previous 5s is that this thing has NFC built into it with NO option to turn it off. I believe this is what is causing my headaches. I really love this phone but I'm obviously not going to jeopardize my health for screen size unless Apple adds a kill switch to this antenna.

A little background - I am very sensitive to Bluetooth. Any time I am around or using it, I get these headaches exactly what I am describing here. First thing I always do when I get my phones is shut off Bluetooth and everything has always been ok.

Has anyone else experienced a similar health concern?

Auras cause visual distortions (and a whole host of other things). They are not caused by what you see. The reason it only happens "on occasions" is that your assuming that correlation implies causality. Sometimes, as you are getting a migraine, you also happen to be looking at your phone. That doesn't mean the phone causes the migraine. As an example, the visual field distortion I experience with a migraine aura looks like the retinal afterimage you get from staring at a light bulb. By your logic, staring at a light bulb should cause my auras and subsequent migraine. It doesn't. Auras are caused by irregularities in blood flow in the brain.

I also have the same problem. I've received my phone a couple of weeks ago but since this last week having a conversation for more than a minute causes me straight away headache, and a funny pain close to my ears even when using it on loudspeaker. The headphones do not help at all, I would even say they make it worst. I think this a very serious situation as I've never in my life had this problems. Maybe with other phones after long conversations I would start to feel that my ears were getting very hot but this is taking going to another level where Im really worried about my health and I'm even thinking about taking legal procedures as it is not acceptable.

Not even mention that the phone itself is bugging all the time, the screen would freeze and won't let me press any button, the screen doesn't respond to any command nor touch which forces me to turn of or reboot the phone, calls fail all the time, the screen goes completely white... I mean... really??? a phone that costed over 800$ and is doing this already? I have just one word, CRAP!!! All my devices are Apple but Im seriously thinking to switch to another company. Not happy AT ALL!!!!

Yes, I have the same issues. It stems from being extra sensitive to radiation and it is called electromagnetic sensitivity. It affects our nervous system so it ends up causing a host of symptoms. It is a known and accepted disorder in many parts of Europe and is even a government recognized disability in Sweden -- although it is not well known in the States. After a lot of research, I can tell you that the best solution is to limit exposure to cell phone, wifi, cordless phones and even electronics with high wattage.

Those who don't suffer from this seem to get smug about those who are sensitive to radiation -- doubting claims of pain and suffering. It's important to listen to your own body and if it hurts every time you turn on your bluetooth or make a call -- then it doesn't matter what others say. Wifi and cellular technology and bluetooth are all around us -- but you will always feel better or worse depending on the following factors: 1) strength of exposure 2) amount of time of exposure 3) your body's "defenses" -- dependent on sleep, stress, nutrition, fitness/overall health. For example, if you are exhausted and haven't been eating well, then (based on my experience) you will feel the effects of the radiation stronger.

Check out Electromagnetic Sensitivity forums for lots more information -- there are hundreds of thousands of people going through the exact same symptoms (and trouble "proving" it to doubters. Be well. Paul.

I have been experiencing the same issue. I've had iPhones since day one and as soon as I started using my iphone 6 I started getting migraines. This is insane. The screen is wayyyyy too bright, even at its dimmest it lights up my bedroom. Also, the combo of having a glossy screen with a curved edge increases the reflection of light and causes more strain. Being at my computer or using my iPhone 5s all day I don't have any issues but as soon as I'm on my iPhone 6 the eye strain starts and my head hurts. I don't know what the reason is.but this can't be healthy at all. I have to keep stepping away from my phone. PLEASE RESOLVE THIS. I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE. ALL MY FRIENDS WHO UPGRADED TO THE 6 HAVE THE SAME ISSUE. PS this has nothing to do with bluetooth that's always off its the new screens. The size, the gloss and now the curve make a very unhealthy combination for our eyes!!!!!

Thank you Tim for being so unsupportive and immature on this thread. So all you do is go on these support discussion boards and attack people who complain about problems. This is not a Microsoft discussion board. If you wish to be inappropriate please direct yourself to the nearest non apple discussion board and waste everyone's time there.

Thank you for turning this support post into a joke.

Did you even read my post before replying? This is not a BT problem. I never said it was. I actually pointed out that BT on my phone is always off. Please read the posts before you hastily reply with insults. Please delete your comment and I will as well so we can keep this post about the real issue and not flood this thread with garbage back and forth that isn't helping anyone.
