iPad 2 keeps crashing rebooting after ios 8 update

Since updating my iPad 2 to ios 8 I have had numerous problems with it, first thing that happened was the accesscibility features came on and would'nt turn off, had to attach to my mac and disable them in itunes, also while this was occuring the ipad 2 kept randomly rebooting, this is still occuring, I have so far done a soft reset and a hard reset, I've done a restore, I've updated to ios 8.2 and still the same things happening, this is starting to get very annoying.

iPad 2 was working fine until this update . . please can anyone assist . . .

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE

1. Turn off iPad

2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)

3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port

4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.

DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug

5. Release Home button.

ON COMPUTER

6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.

7. Select "Restore iPad"...

Note:

1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup

2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.

3. Repeat the process if necessary.

I've now spent about 20-40 minutes on a chat with Apple Support, who believe that it is nothing to do with the ios 8 updates and believe it is a hardware issue.

Funny that it only reared its head and occurred when I updated to ios 8

Anyway they have now booked me a Genius appoint for the 8th Oct 2014, apparently the genius's are all very busy in the 3 apple stores nearest to my, wonder if its to do with ios 8 problems, will know more on the 8th and let you all know what occurs and how much more money apple expect me to pay to repair a device that's only a couple of years old (fit for purpose comes to mind)

Hardware issue my ***. After updating to IOS8 I got exactly the same issue. The iPad has been functioning fine for the past 2 years and is rarely moved from its location but now it crashed on 2 occasions and got caught in a reboot loop for 30 minutes. I noticed the 2nd crash was caused by an iMessage coming in while I was using another app. Possibly Notification Center tripped up the code. ps. I work in software testing and app development and this problem was most definitely software in origin. If it was hardware it would crash at any time but both crashes were caused by code being triggered.

There are several problems that many iPad 2 owners (including me) that have updated to iOS 8 are experiencing. Just do a google search and you will see. Another common one is loss of cellular access. Some suggested solutions may offer temporary fixes, but then the problems reappear. The only real solutions are downgrading to iOS 7.1.2 or waiting for Apple to figure out what is wrong with iOS 8 and releasing an update that addresses the errors/issues.

After doing a factory reset and restoring from my itunes backup, my iPad 2 has become more stable and is not freezing up so far. Prior to this I was getting a random black screen. If I tried resetting it would go the the Apple startup screen and then to the black screen and remain there. Programs were crashing and freezing as well.

The cellular No Service problem has not been fixed. Turning the iCloud Drive on and off does seem to be a temporary fix. I will have it set on "on" and it the cellular connection will work for awhile. Then it will stop working and I will get the No Service again. At this point if I switch the iCloud Drive to "off" the cellular service will be restored for awhile. Then eventually it will lose cellular service at which point I switch iCloud Drive back to "on" and service is then restored.

My iPad is also doing weird things since updating. It won't start. The Apple logo comes on the screen and then the screen goes black and nothing happens. When I plug it in it does not respond at all. I just keep pushing buttons, holding down the home button and start button together and after many frustrating minutes it starts (though it blinks a few times first). It has worked flawlessly for a few years until I updated to IOS 8. I know this is a software issue because my iPhone 4s has also had issues since updating. I don't think there is a solution, at least not one we can come up with. Unfortunately we just have to wait until Apple issues more updates.
