Setting up a second hand ipod nano

Hi guys,

Ihave rescently purchased a 2nd hand ipod nano. One of my friends told me that I would not be able to set it up on my computer to download music because he says that they only recognise the original comuter they are registered on. IS this true?

He also said when I try to set it up that it will likely delete the songs on it from the previous owner?

Do I need to do anything special to set a 2nd hand nano up on my home pc or have I wasted my money?

Any help appreciated.

If you have nothing in the iPod or you don't like the songs there, it is a good time to restore to a factory default and also update the firmware.

I always do that with every apple product, used one, refurbished one and even the new one, to narrow down if any problems pop up.

Good Luck.
