IOS 8.02 Causes serious functionality disabilities

I downloaded the latest software update yesterday 8.02 and my Iphone 6 has not been functioning since.

At first it was just calls that were affected, where the touch screen didn't work, and there was no function to end a call - I had to turn my phone off!! I couldn't go through voicemail as the keypad functions were disabled, and the phone was mysteriously dialing numbers without my initiating calls.

As of today, the phone has now degraded to being pretty much useless - it doesn't ring, I can't make calls, email and browsers down. And other sillier functions like alarm not working (was late to work, thanks for that Apple). Has anyone else had these issues? I expected them to be resolved by now as I doubt I am the only one.

At the moment I am more than 24 hours without a functioning phone and feel like returning it to Apple and moving to Android.
