Ever since the new update (IOS 8.0.2) my phone and all operations are slow ... a glacier responds faster!!!

I want my iphone working again ! everything is slow! touch screen is unresponsive at times, freezes for awhile when trying to use apps like facebook etc. doesn't recognize when plugged in ... and probably the worst thing is that it doesn't connect to available wifi and I had no idea it wasn't so my data usage is off the charts and will cost me a fortune. I will NEVER EVER AGAIN download an update to the operating system blindly.

Try again Apple and sort this stuff out!
