What "documents", document types, data are collected from the "com.apple.mobile.house_arrest" service? When I sync my device with iTunes, what data does AND does not transfer between devices?

house_arrest is used by iTunes to transfer documents to and from an iOS device for apps that support this functionality. This is also used by Xcode to assist in the transfer of test data to a device while an app is in development.
It is the mechanism (or one of them) that allows allows files to be transferred from a computer to the iOS device for use by specific apps. What type of files depends on the app in question and could encompass a wide range of files.
Perhaps approaching this from the other direction might help: Why do want to know? What is it you are trying to get at?
The reason was because this whole site that this is on is about security. That service is the only service/feature/function/etc. that did not mention or explicitly explain what information apples DOES or DOES NOT collect when active. It also does not e xplicitly explain what information 3rd party apps or the "apps" that support this collect or don't collect. I just want to know where MY data is going.
This does not answer what kind of documents will be transferred between an iOS device.
Does anyone have a more in-depth explantation for what this does?
Exactly what James said - it depends on the app. For example Pages will transfer document files.
Perhaps that is because Apple doesn't collect anything with that function. Seems to me the description posted is pretty straightforward.
