Q: does my phone has a virus?

I have had my iphone 5 for over a year now, but recently it has been operating by itself... literally. It is really weird because I'll be on it for hours and all of a sudden it exits out of my apps, gets on apps by itself, and types by itself. Earlier today I could even put in my passcode to get on my phone because it started typing by itself. I went to the A T&T store and they said this might happen when there is an update, so I needed the update. And I updated it to the ios 8, and it still does it. It is so annoying,and it happens around late at night or early in the morning, so does it have a virus? Help me please.

Until you did not modify the software of the phone (Jailbreak) there is no way to get a virus onto your phone.
Unauthorized modification of iOS can cause security vulnerabilities, instability, shortened battery life, and other issues

To rule out a software issue, set it up as new device without using the latest backup, in case some data inside the backup got damaged.
iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device

If your phone works after that, use the backup to restore from.

Yyou possibly have a hardware failure, a short in the digitizer.
Try the steps the other poster listed.
If that fails to fix it, make an appointment at the Apple Store.
