No. A magnet will not effect an iPhone

I believe iPhone will affected by magnet because i put a magnet sticker on back side of iPhone6.

The iPhone6 compass sometimes will not work correctly.

Is anyone can confirm this problem?

It's not technically a problem for the compass as its function is to indicate a magnetic field (the planet's). You're just giving it a stronger magnetic field to react to. But magnets do not affect any other function of the phone.

No they do not. Some case companies, seen here, sell cases with magnets built in and adhesive magnet mounts for your car so you can mount it while driving.

1) So what you're saying is that because a company sells a case, that case won't interfere with the phone? That logic doesn't make any sense. One doesn't necessarily follow the other.

This is not correct. Many apps rely on the iPhone's built-in compass. Magnets affect all compasses—even the one in your iPhone. Magnetic cases will throw off your iPhone's compass in the same way.

A case with a magnet will affect compass calibration, but it takes only a few seconds to recalibrate it. The Sena cases have magnetic closures, and Sena is owned by Apple, so Apple doesn't think it's a problem. And it isn't a problem with my Sena case.

I followed your link; there were only 4 reviews, the first two said there was no problem with the magnet, the third didn't mention the magnet, and the 4th said there wasn't a problem with the compass on the 2nd try. So where are the "multiple users complaining about the case interfering with their iPhone's compasses?" Is this just another example of fake news?

.. wondering whether a magnet with lanyard (Usually used for fishing) would be ok to use in terms of magnets & electronics are not normally happy bedfellows. .. It would be attached to a protective case rather than straight onto the phone itself.

I suggest that you avoid using a magnet with the iPhone 6 Plus or with any newer model that you may now own.

Apple recommends that case manufacturers avoid using magnets and metal components in iPhone cases.

Magnets can interfere with the iPhone's digital compass, potentially including repeatedly triggering compass recalibration.

iPhone 6 Plus and newer models also have an autofocus rear camera with optical image stabilisation, which can be affected by magnets and/or by metal components in accessories.

I admit I'm going on hearsay; 2 years ago an Apple store person told me that Apple owned Sena.

Not a big deal, just thought I missed something. They are not owned by Apple but they are sold in Apple Stores.
