Q: icloud email verifacation won't go through so I can set it up

Why won't the email verifacation being sent from apple icloud come to my email box? I receive all other emails at the only email address I have had for over 15 years. Can anyone help me? I just want to start to use icloud, I have given up after hundreds of tries over the last two years.

MacBook Air (13-inch Late 2010), Mac OS X (10.7.5)

There are some suggesting troubleshooting steps for this problem here: If you didn't receive your Apple ID verification or reset email. If these don't work, try contacting the Apple account security team for your country and request assistance sending the verification email: Apple ID: Contacting Apple for help with Apple ID account security.
