Q: Best war to relocate deleted duplicate songs from iTunes library?

Oct 2, 2014 6:46 AMby CJTV,It appears that a lot of my songs weren't duplicates and now the ! icon is listed beside most of the songs in my library. I think it has deleted songs that were not actually duplicates. These were purchased on iTunes but I didn't back up to icloud and fear they are now deleted indefinitely. Any ideas?

Oct 2, 2014 6:56 AMby Limnos,Yes, that's why I always tell people you have to be careful deleting duplicates. You can have a case where a single file has two entries in iTunes. If you delete one entry and the file it means the second entry then is invalid because it was pointing to the same file. It is a good idea to do a backup before deleting duplicates, just in case.
Downloading (using iOS or computer) past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not all media formats are available in all countries (see: iTunes in the Cloud, iTunes Match, and iTunes Radio availability by country - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5085); apps, books (not audiobooks), music, t.v. shows, and movies (some - not all studios have permitted this). Downloading previously purchased movies and TV shows requires iTunes 10.6 or later. Discontinued items not available. For items not included in the iCloud list (e.g., ringtones, audiobooks), or locations or computer systems where iCloud is not (yet?) available, you only get one download per fee paid.
