Ipod not visible in itunes

Does your mini show up in Explorer, but just not in iTunes? If so, this link may help.

I did everything the link above said to do and my player still isn't detected. Any other ideas?

Would it be possible to try an alternate USB or firewire port to see if the problem might be there?

I am having this same problem with my 20gb ipod photo, i did everything in the above link but my ipod still doesnt show up in itunes...wen i pulg it into my comp i get the same box with 3 folders in it...i rele need help

Steve, I'm sorry, but you have already posted about your connection issue several time in the past couple of days. You need to stick with one of your original posts rather than piggybacking on someone else's thread & causing a disruption of the original poster's thread. It can be very difficult to follow what's going on troubleshooting when you have a bunch of people jumping in on the thread with what may be a similar but unrelated issue. Thanks!

In looking at your other posts, at no point in time did you start your own topic, you piggybacked on the other thread. It's always suggested that you start your own topic rather than posting in the manner that you have done. I would suggest you go back to the "Connecting color iPod" forum, start your own topic, & hang tight to see if someone comes along. You will have to be patient, remember it's the weekend & people have other things to do besides hang out in the forums. Thanks!
