Using bluetooth headset for audio input when recording video on iPhone 5

Does anybody know if it's possible to use a bluetooth headset (Plantronics M50) as the input mic for recording video with an iPhone 5 (iOS 8)? I've got the bluetooth paired with my iPhone and everything's working well. Tried to record video with bluetooth as mic and it didn't work. Thanks.

iPhone 5, iOS 8

MoviePro, for iPad & iPhone, allows you to use Bluetooth mics from within the app. If you want to record your own voice, one good option is the Apple Airpods. You can wear them and walk around and the level of your audio recording of your own voice remains the same.

Aside from using BT mics, there is a companion app MoviePro remote that allows you to video record on one iOS device and control the recording from another iOS device; such as record on your iPhone 7+ and control it from your iPad Air 2.

I've used the "captures" app to record video with a bluetooth headset (Lumsing). It isn't perfect, for example you have to make sure your device is set to not go to sleep for during the recording period, and you have to remember that when the bluetooth headset is connected, all audio from the phone is played back on the headset, not on the device speakers (at first I thought the videos had no audio when I played them back, then realized the audio was coming over the headset). I'd love a different solution (using the iOS camera app) but "captures" seems to work well on an ipad/iphone.

If you want to record both audio and video in SYNC, try:

Nolan LiveMIC Bluetooth Remote Microphone - http://amzn.to/1VfAbqI

Captures app - https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/captures/id898573489

For a lag-free recording, use:

Nolan LiveMICRX Bluetooth Wireless Remote Microphone Transmitter and Voice Receiver Set

Please read the reviews on the above on Amazon on how buyers solved their issues using Captures app.
