Thats a problem with the App, not with your iPad. It might be because your iPad has a lower powered A5 chip. If you want to make a good slideshow, use iMove. It is free, with the purchase of your iPad, and it is very easy to use, and it won't crash when you try to publish a project.

Unfortunately I have to let both you and CCC down but that's an app I don't have so anything I say would be a guess. If you want I could ask the hosts to relocate your post to the iPad Forum.

I would guess that the length of your slideshow would have something to do with your problem.

A video almost one hour long in HD will be of very considerable size which means any wireless transfer would be painfully slow and would only work with a very stable connection. Not ever having put together a video on an iPad (as I prefer my large screen iMac and using Final Cut, iMovie, iDVD, Motion, etc), one fact while editing and rendering video is: it needs a lot of RAM as well as enough empty hard drive space - at least on a computer. I do not know how well an iPad will cope with such processor demanding tasks.

My recommendation would be that you export the images and then edit/process/render the slideshow on a computer or, at a minimum, transfer the slideshow in "pieces" - you should be able to combine the parts once on your computer. Just use iMovie to add them together.

OK. Bad news is bob can't help and iComputerGeek is probably right about your app.

As an experienced interactive media developer, bad things have happened right before showtime a LOT. All niters all too common.

I recommend old school Keynote presentation, with live narration and audio optional. Simple, fast to create. Good news is you have already created it once, so the decision making and planning are already done.

You can do it. Simplicity until complete. Trick it out as time permits.

Reading the app description can't you run tomorrows slideshow from the app and put off making the video for another day ?

You're welcome. Sorry I couldn't have done more to help, without first hand knowledge of the app I'm just guessing.

I hope that HDMI play is the solution for playing the show in the app - but it crashing is a bad deal. You could consider iPhoto slideshow as a backup.

Remember, I am on a Mac... an old one at that.

As a test, I imported 128 images - all 1024x768 - from a folder in under a minute. The library is ready to play a slideshow - if you have the images named right (*reorder is possible, read on). Slides cross-fade and you can control the slide's display duration at runtime - and pick audio from your iTunes library.

* if you need to reorder the slides, you can't in the Library --

create a new album > select all (in the Photo Library) > drag to the album

select the new album > View > Arrange photos > Manually -- just like the old Powerpoint slide sorter

tap the Slideshow Tool Icon > select duration > pick audio (if desired - FYI, only one audio file, but it repeats automatically) > tap the play button
