Folder from documents by Readdle impossible to delete on iCloud

I wanted to use Documents 5 by Readdle App but it didn't really met my expectations. This app added a folder on my iCloud drive session that I can't get rid of... All my other folders can be selected to be deleted but not this one... How can I do? I tried to reinstall the app to delete it from it hoping it would do the same but when I checked on iCloud drive on the web the folder was still here...

Or is there anyway to clean my iCloud drive?

I think it is an iCloud issue. I informed Apple of this issue during beta testing requesting a reset button in iCloud Drive (there used to a reset when it was Documents and Data in Mavericks and iOS8).

I have all sorts of orphan folders from FileApp to Readdle. You can trash them using the Windows Control Panel for iCloud but they reappear again immediately.

Well Readdle told me this is An iCloud issue...

Did they explain how this is an iCloud issue, or just fob you off with 'it wasn't me'

iCloud does not create folders, iCloud enabled apps do. Call them back and don't let them brush you off.

Nope They just said the problem was with the Icloud drive which I suspect to be right since there is the same problem with other apps like Scanbot... Even if you deactivate these, the app still remains in Icloud drive... Apple really needs to find a way to get rid of them, otherwise it will be such a mess in everybody's Icloud drive after trying a bunch of apps.

Believe what you wish, Apple write the operating system, Readdle claim to write software to run on it, but it doesn't

And you think that Apple should rewrite the operating system because Readdle are incompetent?

Never going to happen, sorry

Same problem here. I think I've deleted in every possible way and it just keeps popping up in the iCloud Drive folder.

For now, I'm going back to Google Drive because this isn't working like it should be. iCloud Drive should be like Google Drive, Dropbox, etc. This isn't a cloud drive folder, this is just like it was before, only worse. I'd rather go back to the old cloud storage within the apps (iWorks and such) instead of this cranky iCloud Drive.

Besides that, every 'good' app on your iPad and iPhone that can use iCloud Drive is just a pain to open documents. Good Reader, Documents (Readle), PDF Expert, etc.; it takes ages to open a simple one page PDF document within iCloud Drive.

Sorry, but Google Drive does a lot better job then iCloud Drive.

I'd add I'm having the same problem with Together 3. I've got three folders now, I delete them, and they return. I've deleted Together from all of my devices too, just to get rid of them. They keep coming back. Plus they don't even sync right. So I don't think it's a specific app developer. I think it has something to do with iCloud Drive.

I figured this out as I had the same problem.

First off to the guy who said that his iCloud folder in a browser doesn't match the iCloud folder in Finder, that's because the browser shows all folders, even hidden ones. It looks like if you delete a folder that was created by an app in finder, it just changes it to hidden. Any manually created folders get deleted. If you go into browser and individually select each folder, you can't actually delete any that were created by an app, only those that were manually created.

So on to how I deleted the folder.

1) Open a terminal session and go to /Users/USERNAME/Library/Mobile Documents

2) ls -l

3) There should be a folder in the listing that contains the word "readdle", mine was 3L68KQB4HG~com~readdle~CommonDocuments

4) rm -fR 3L68KQB4HG~com~readdle~CommonDocuments

5) Give it a few minutes to sync up and check your iCloud Drive from a browser.

Same here. The iCloud drive app doesn't delete the "Readdle file" in the browser application. It seems this is not a real file map but a App library file just like the Pages,iMovie,Numbers,... maps.

So the third party App library files can't be deleted in the browser app. On a 10.10.2 running MBpro the Readdle file is gone in the finder window, better said "hidden".

Is there any solution here dear Apple? Did anyone get an answer from Apple how and when this issue will be solved?

I note that the Readdle Documents folder in my iCloud.com>iCloud drive has now been removed.

So have the orphaned "All Events" folders in iCloud.com>photos been replaced by a fresh synced upload of my library.

Has anybody else noticed this?
